FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

NC State University and its Digital Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) unit are proud to announce that they will serve as the official hosts of the 2025 Education Technology Collaborative (ETC) Conference, to be held October 14-17, 2025, on NC State’s Raleigh campus.

The annual conference is a premier national event that brings together educational technology professionals, instructional designers and leaders in digital learning from institutions across the country. As a long-standing member of the ETC, NC State and DELTA have played an active role in shaping conversations around the future of learning and technology in higher education.

DELTA is widely recognized as a leader in the advancement of educational technology across the University of North Carolina System and the national landscape. This year alone, DELTA has received numerous honors for its innovative contributions to teaching and learning, including the Excellence in Interdisciplinary Teaching Award for the Wicked Problems, Wolfpack Solutions program and the Operational Excellence Team Award from NC State’s IT Community Awards for its role in the Hurricane Helene Instructional Continuity Response Team. Nationally, the team earned the Excellence in Online and Blended Learning Innovation Award from the Online Learning Consortium and the Making a Difference for Students Award from Quality Matters — further affirming DELTA’s growing impact on digital learning.

A highlight of the 2025 ETC event will be a keynote address by Dr. Donna Petherbridge, Vice Provost for DELTA at NC State. With more than two decades of experience in digital education, faculty development and strategic leadership, Dr. Petherbridge is widely regarded as a national voice in the educational technology landscape. Last fall, Dr. Petherbridge was appointed to the EDUCAUSE Board of Directors for a four-year term, furthering her commitment to the strategic use of technology in higher education.

“We are delighted to welcome colleagues from across the country to NC State for the 2025 ETC Conference,” said Dr. Petherbridge. “ETC has long been a trusted space for connection and collaboration in learning technology. Hosting this year’s conference gives us the opportunity to not only celebrate that community but to showcase the exceptional innovation and talent at NC State and across the UNC System. I look forward to engaging with peers who are driving meaningful change in how we design, deliver and support digital education.”

Details on registration, accommodations and session proposals will be released in the coming weeks. For more information and updates, visit www.etcollaborative.org.
