Bartlett Receives Award for Online Innovation

Teaching Assistant Professor Michelle Bartlett received the Wagner Innovation Award at the 2018 Distance Learning Administration conference in June. Bartlett’s leadership and innovative solutions as the director of the online Training and Development master’s and certificate programs landed her this award.

Top Hat Gains Traction at NC State

It’s been one year since NC State acquired a campus license for Top Hat, allowing faculty and students to use it at no cost. We caught up with a few instructors to hear their stories of successfully implementing Top Hat and how the use of this interactive classroom tool is benefiting their teaching as well as student learning.

A Work in Progress: Streamlining Feed Mill Studies

A team of DELTA staff members are working with Adam Fahrenholz and Marissa Herchler on a blended learning grant to enhance the student learning experience in Feed Manufacturing Technology. The team is exploring Matterport to create a virtual tour of NC State’s teaching mill and updating a main assignment.

A Work in Progress: Immersive VR Environment for LAR 457

As part of an exploratory grant project for a landscape architecture course, Postdoctoral Research Scholar Muntazar Monsur and Teaching Assistant Professor Carla Delcambre are working with a team of dedicated DELTA staff members to create an immersive, 3D environment that students can explore using virtual reality headsets.
